Meet The Thomas Family

Our weapon is love....so what does that mean to us exactly? Well we believe that Jesus is waging a war on injustice and He is calling us to join Him. The best weapon we have in this fight is love. That's what it's all about, love... for the "least of these." Jesus came to set the captives free and bring hope to the brokenhearted.

We will rescue the poor when they cry out. We will help the oppressed, who have no one to defend them. Psalm 72:12

We created this blog to raise awareness and be a voice for those who can't speak for themselves. It  also began as a way to document our adoption journey to our daughter in Ethiopia. Most recently is has become a way for you to keep up with our family as we prepare for full time mission work with Make Your Mark in Ethiopia!

Ryan recently graduated with a BS in Religion from Liberty University. We have felt God's calling to full time vocational work for several years now and are very excited about Ryan being asked to head up Make Your Mark's ministry department in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia. I can look back and see how God's fingerprints have been all over our journey and connecting the dots to get us to this point. Make Your Mark Ethiopia is a non-profit in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia that exists to be a voice for the voiceless and vulnerable street children of the city. MYM Ethiopia works to rehabilitate street children through Christian counseling, education, and by providing safe, Christian environments so that the youth may be self-sustainable and reach their full redemptive potential in Christ.

The organization also works in street kid and orphan prevention by working with the families of children who are at high risk of being abandoned to the streets due to extreme poverty.

Want to partner with us?!  Visiting the Make Your Mark Giving Page. Go to the bottom of that page and click the "Secure Giving Page" banner. Fill in the amount beside "Thomas Support". You can then select  the frequency of your donation...one time, weekly, bi-weekly, 1st and 15th of the month, or monthly.

We are humbled that God is willing to use average people like us and excited for what He has in store for our future. We are trading our plans for His.
Thanks for joining our journey.....
